A certified (sworn) translation is intended for governmental agencies, calls for tenders, processing of visas, and the procedures related to the settling of persons and establishment of business abroad. This official translation is stamped and countersigned by a certified translator.
A certified translator
Is a natural person who is registered on a list of court experts established by the Minister of Justice in Luxembourg.
Only persons who appear on that list can claim to be certified translators. Such translators, who are particularly skilled in legal matters, have taken the official oath that is required before the civil division of the High Court of Justice, and their certification is valid before the courts and governmental agencies of Luxembourg.
